Radda in Chianti provides everything required for an immersive stay in this storied wine region. The medieval village, with its compact historic centre and traditional trattorias, invites leisurely afternoon wandering, whilst the surrounding countryside beckons with renowned wine estates, many offering tastings and cellar tours. The villa's position allows effortless exploration of the Chianti Classico territory, with its patchwork of vineyards, olive groves, and cypress-lined roads that have captivated travellers for generations.
Within Villa Torretta's 430 square metres, contemporary design honours the architecture's lineage without attempting to recreate the past. The ground floor unfolds through a sequence of interconnected spaces: a sitting room where natural light plays across original stone walls, a dining area designed for lingering meals, and a professional kitchen equipped for serious cooking. Smart home technology operates discreetly throughout, controlling lighting, climate, and entertainment systems with understated efficiency. Underfloor heating and cooling ensures comfort year-round, whilst the villa's thick walls provide natural insulation. A cantina carved into the oldest part of the structure—with its original arched ceilings and heritage salumi hooks—offers a romantic setting for candlelit dinners, wine tastings, yoga sessions, or celebrations, with fitness and wellness equipment also available in this atmospheric space.
