The landscape here unfolds in the soft geometry of vine rows and silvery olive trees, punctuated by cypresses and medieval borghi that have changed little over centuries—Greve in Chianti with its arcaded piazza, Panzano where the legendary butcher Dario Cecchini holds court, and hilltop Radda with its views across the entire valley. Wine lovers will find themselves at the epicentre of Chianti Classico production, with renowned estates such as Antinori, Castello di Brolio, and Badia a Coltibuono all within easy reach for tastings and tours. The enchanting towers of San Gimignano rise an hour to the west, whilst the artistic treasures of Florence—the Uffizi, the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio—await a short drive to the north.
