About Villa I Fichi

Overlooking the Tiber Valley, Villa I Fichi is a private Umbrian villa for up to seven guests, with a private pool, Mediterranean garden, thoughtful sustainable comforts and easy access to Umbria’s hill towns.

The Setting

Set in Canonica, a rural hamlet just outside Todi, Villa I Fichi offers a peaceful countryside base around 15 minutes by car from Todi’s restaurants, shops and historic streets. While the villa is best enjoyed by car, the surrounding country lanes and panoramic cycling trails invite you to immerse yourself in the landscape right from the property.

The picturesque hill town of Monte Castello di Vibio is close by, while Deruta, Perugia, Orvieto and Assisi bring ceramics, festivals, architecture and Umbrian culture within easy reach. From the villa, views open across the Tiber Valley, framed by a Mediterranean garden of lavender, rosemary, gorse, oak and olive trees.

The Living Spaces

Spanning 200 square metres (approximately 2,150 square feet), this beautifully restored Umbrian country home is set within generous private grounds, comfortably welcoming six guests across three elegant bedrooms, each with its own dedicated bathroom. The ground floor unfolds around an inviting living room with a working fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen, ensuring the house remains warm and welcoming year-round.

Eco-conscious amenities are woven seamlessly into the design, including a reverse osmosis system for purified drinking water and solar thermal panels. Outside, daily life centers around the swimming pool, solarium terrace, and a shaded patio equipped with a barbecue and a classic wood-fired pizza oven. Within the gated grounds, discreet private parking and an e-car charging station offer ultimate peace of mind.

The Experience

A stay at Villa I Fichi is all about the relaxed pace of local rural life. It is a place to slow down and enjoy simple routines—from buying fresh ingredients directly from nearby organic farms to stepping out for walks along quiet country lanes. The villa offers the perfect balance between restful downtime at home and easy day trips to nearby hill towns and cultural sites, and welcomes you back each evening to a completely peaceful setting.
