From this height, the full drama of the Costa Smeralda reveals itself: the turquoise shallows of the bay below, the scattered silhouettes of distant islands, and a coastline carved into a succession of granite-edged coves. Cala di Volpe, Liscia Ruja, and Cala Capriccioli are all within easy reach—beaches of fine, pale sand sheltered by pink and reddish rock formations that are among the most photographed in the Mediterranean.
