Villa Montalbano is a contemporary villa in the countryside of Montalbano di Fasano, between the Adriatic coastline and the white hilltop town of Ostuni, accommodating 12 guests across 6 bedrooms including a private annexe with its own suite and living room. Brindisi Airport is approximately 40 minutes away and Bari Airport around 70 minutes, with the nearest beach 15 minutes by car and the closest shops just 10 minutes from the villa.
The countryside around Montalbano sits in the transition zone between the Valle d'Itria and the Adriatic coast — close enough to the sea for daily beach days, yet surrounded by the olive groves and open farmland that give this part of Puglia its quieter, unhurried character. Ostuni, whose whitewashed old town rises above the surrounding plain on its limestone hill, is 15 minutes away and rewards an evening of wandering its narrow lanes and eating on terraces with views across to the coast; Monopoli, with its walled harbour and historic centre, is 15 minutes to the north. The trulli towns of Locorotondo and Alberobello — the latter a UNESCO World Heritage Site — are 25 and 35 minutes inland respectively, and the Regional Park of Dune Costiere, with its pine-fringed beaches and rocky coves, lies along the coast to the east.
The villa's architecture is unmistakably Mediterranean — white rendered walls, generous proportions, and large windows and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that draw in the Apulian light throughout the day. The living room, anchored by a working fireplace, opens directly onto the covered veranda through its full-height glazing, creating an easy flow between inside and outside. The kitchen combines rustic character with modern appliances and includes a separate pantry with double fridge — well suited to private chef service or independent use. A half bathroom serves the ground floor. The interiors are spread across 2 floors of the main house, with the private annexe offering a further self-contained suite with its own living room, a useful retreat for guests who prefer additional privacy or independence within the group.
The private swimming pool is the focal point of the outdoor area, surrounded by a furnished pool patio with sun loungers and a large covered veranda with al fresco dining and sitting spaces shaded from the midday heat. An outdoor gym, a BBQ, and a botanic garden planted with aromatic species and fruit trees complete the grounds. Private parking is available on site. Daily housekeeping, daily pool and bath towel changes, midweek linen change, a welcome Apulian basket, Italian breakfast ingredients, and pool and garden maintenance are all included. Chef service, personal training, massage, boat tours, and airport transfers can be arranged.
