Villa Miele perches on a panoramic point above Positano, looking out across the tumbling rooftops of one of Italy's most celebrated coastal towns towards the silhouette of Capri floating on the horizon. The three-storey property occupies a privileged position—removed from the crowds that fill Positano's narrow lanes in summer, yet close enough to slip down into the centre for an evening stroll or dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants. The approach is part of the villa's character: a 10-minute walk along a pedestrian path followed by 90 steps, the kind of arrival that earns the views waiting at the top.
Positano's centre lies 15 minutes by car, though the villa includes twice-daily shuttle transfers for those who prefer not to drive. From the town's hydrofoil dock, connections run to Amalfi, Praiano, Ravello, Capri, and Ischia—a relaxed way to explore the coastline without navigating the famous hairpin bends in summer traffic. Naples Capodichino Airport is 1 hour and 20 minutes' drive. The Amalfi Coast has long attracted serious diners, and the stretch between Positano and Ravello contains some of Italy's most celebrated restaurants, from Michelin-starred dining rooms with terraces suspended above the sea to family-run trattorias serving the catch of the day. Those wishing to eat at the villa can arrange for the in-house cook to prepare meals.
The ground floor holds the main living spaces: a dining room seating 10 guests beside a sitting area arranged around an L-shaped sofa and large-screen television, with a fully equipped kitchen adjacent. Glass doors open onto the furnished terrace, where the heated infinity pool—compact at three by four metres but perfectly positioned—appears to merge with the coastline beyond. Sun loungers line the deck, and an outdoor dining area allows meals to stretch late into warm evenings with Positano glittering below.
The five bedrooms are distributed across all three floors, each with its own bathroom and most with sea-view balconies that frame the same panorama in different ways. Two suites on the first floor and one on the second feature jacuzzi shower-tubs; the remaining bathrooms have walk-in showers. A separate ground-floor bedroom with independent terrace access offers privacy for those who prefer it. Air conditioning, heating, and daily housekeeping ensure comfort throughout the season, though the villa's elevated position and pedestrian-only access mean it is best suited to guests comfortable with stairs.
