The town of Cassibile is a 5-minute drive, with Avola 10 minutes in the opposite direction. The new motorway has brought Noto within 10 minutes, whilst Siracusa and the dramatic gorges of the Cavagrande nature reserve are both reachable in 20 minutes. Catania airport is approximately 50 minutes by car. The surrounding region—with its baroque towns of Noto, Siracusa, and Modica, and its succession of sandy beaches along the Ionian coast—provides ample material for day trips throughout a stay.
The villa sits within grounds planted with olive trees that produce oil on the estate. During the October harvest, guests can observe or assist with the picking process—advance booking is required. The property's friendly resident dogs may be encountered in the gardens, adding to the relaxed, home-like character of the estate. As is common in rural Sicily, tap water is not suitable for drinking, and bottled water is readily available from the nearby towns.
The interior is arranged for comfortable family living, with a large living room centred on a fireplace, a bright and spacious dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The outdoor spaces include a private garden surrounded by the reserve's vegetation, olive groves, and vines, with a swimming pool positioned to take advantage of the Sicilian sun.
