About Villa Cipresso

A private Tuscan farmhouse set within the heart of a historic 1,760-acre estate defined by its heritage of fine winemaking. This exclusive retreat offers private vineyards, a heated pool, and panoramic vistas, with Florence and Pisa within easy reach.

The Setting

The residence is deeply rooted in the region's history, situated on an estate once held by the Riccardi family, key figures in the Medici bankers' legacy. The surroundings are defined by a classic Tuscan panorama of silver olive groves and stone-built hamlets. A scenic 15-minute stroll through the grounds leads to a private estate church, while a 10-minute drive connects you to local dining and everyday conveniences in the charming village of Forcoli.

Serving as a practical base for broader exploration, the property allows guests to easily access the region's renowned cultural capitals for day excursions, returning each evening to the tranquillity of the estate. The location also caters to those looking to visit the coast, with the Tyrrhenian beaches of Tirrenia approximately a 45-minute drive away.

The Living Spaces

Restored with a focus on preserving the farmhouse’s original architectural integrity, the interiors highlight local materials such as cotto flooring and exposed timber beams. The atmosphere is one of calm, achieved through a refined, neutral aesthetic and the warmth of grand stone fireplaces. The heart of the home is a spacious, well-appointed kitchen—complete with professional-grade gas ranges and bespoke cabinetry—which flows naturally into the formal dining room, perfect for hosting relaxed, multi-course meals.

The accommodation is thoughtfully divided between the main house and an independent Limonaia annex, offering a layout that accommodates up to 14 guests while allowing for personal space. The main house features seven bedrooms, including a convenient ground-floor suite designed with accessibility in mind. The annex provides an additional secluded guest suite with a king-size bed and private facilities. Throughout the property, the bathrooms feature modern, high-quality fixtures, combining the classic appeal of soaking tubs with the convenience of walk-in rainfall showers.

The Experience

Villa Cipresso offers a genuine opportunity to experience the rhythms of life on a working wine estate. The property's viticultural heritage is central to the stay, with guests invited to explore the vineyards and gain insight into the local winemaking traditions. The outdoor areas are designed for ease, featuring a shaded rear terrace for sunset dining and a fenced, heated pool for quiet afternoons in the sun. Whether walking the estate’s woodland trails, savouring seasonal produce, or hosting a private chef for an evening of culinary discovery, the residence offers a comfortable and authentic setting for families and friends who appreciate a balance of historical character and modern convenience.
